Is the ATEM Mini Audio Drift Fixed?
The short answer is yes, but with some small exclusions. I purchased the ATEM mini as soon as it was available for pre-order. The single biggest problem with the original firmware was the audio drift that would send the audio far out of sync with the video. In my original review, the audio drift was the single biggest reason I sold it. This audio drift problem relates to the ATEM Mini Pro and ATEM Mini.
When the ATEM Mini and ATEM Mini Pro Audio Drift Would Happen
The issue would set in between 30 and 60 minutes after live streaming commenced. This sync issue would get progressively worse until the stream was unwatchable. The only way I could get the ATEM to stream correctly was by using the HDMI out to a capture card like the Elgato HD60. While this method worked, it was not ideal.

Ways to Fix the ATEM audio drift issue
The easiest way to fix the audio drift issue is to have the latest firmware. The new firmware completely fixed this issue for me. I can now stream via USB, or Ethernet without any issues whatsoever. I am glad to see that Blackmagic updated their firmware to sort this out but it was a shame to see so many people experiencing this issue at release.

Ways to fix the ATEM Mini Pro / ATEM Mini Audio Drift
A common issue with drift pertains to internet speed. If your internet upload connection is slow you’ll no doubt experience this issue. This is unrelated to the hardware of the unit and more of an issue with your internet. You need to make sure you have at least 5MB/sec upload speed if you plan on using the ATEM as a standalone encoder
Conversely, those with a slow internet connection can use the ATEM mini but you’ll need to send the signal to an Elgato HD60 (or similar) to handle the encoding. These units work far better with low bandwidth connections like ADSL. To do this you’ll need to configure OBS to work with your internet speed.
